SPECIALIZED COURSES

GENERALITIES

Specialized courses are regularly given on the following subjects: first aid, use of the lifting equipment, electrical safety, use of flammable gases and chemicals, work in confined spaces, etc.

The purpose of these courses is to inform CERN personnel about the risks to which they are exposed, and to transmit technical, organisational and behavioural information on how to avoid accidents.

Theses courses are compulsory for all members of personnel exposed to specific risks.

PROGRAMME

 Reminder: in accordance with Code A9 (responsibilities regarding departmental safety, §5.2v, 10.2.7 and 10.2.9), the team leader must establish the training scheme regarding safety for the members of his/her group, in connection with the DSO (Departmental Safety Officer) and make sure that people received the necessary training.
